My Story
Tim has been a Houston freelance musician for two years. In May 2023, he received a Master of Music degree from
the University of Houston under Timothy Hester. Tim is currently an adjunct professor of music and staff pianist at San Jacinto College, and teaches privately at Vivo Professional Music School. He accompanies the Houston Boychoir, and is the Director of Music at Christ the King Episcopal Church. He also accompanies and performs with Houston Theatre Company.
Prior to living in Texas, Tim resided in Kansas, where he earned a Bachelor degree in Music Education from Washburn University in 2018. In Kansas, Tim was a Public School Music Educator for Holton Middle & High school
in USD 336. He also performed with the Kinnor Philharmonic and Topeka Symphony Orchestra, taught privately,
and played many gigs in the Topeka/Kansas City area.
Tim has also studied and performed chamber music at the Atlantic Music Festival, Texas Music Festival, Sunflower Music Festival, and a study-abroad workshop in Paris, France. In January 2023, he performed a recital of chamber music with principal trumpeter of the Saint Louis Symphony, Steven Franklin. He is currently continuing his studies in chamber music and accompanying at the University of Houston through the Certificate in Music Performance program with Timothy Hester.
